A Psycho-Educational Assessment may include record review, health history, interviews with relevant individuals, standardized assessments, rating scales, depending on the referral needs.
COGNITIVE & ACADEMIC ASSESSMENTS
Cognitive testing provides information on how your child is processing information in different areas (i.e. visual, verbal, auditory, memory). This information will help explain strengths and/or weaknesses in your child's learning profile. Some cognitive tests help determine a child's estimated IQ (Intelligence Quotient), giftedness, and/or processing deficits that may be impacting your child's education and development.
Academic testing can help address areas of concern such as possible Specific Learning Disorders, academic areas of strength and/or weaknesses, and help derive academic-based recommendations for the home and/or school settings.
Additional assessment areas that may also be assessed based on referral needs:
ADHD
Autism
Executive Functioning
Social-emotional/behavioral functioning
Intellectual Disability
Anxiety
Depression
Adaptive/every-day living skills
Specific Learning Disorders
